Weirs United Methodist Women
The ladies Met on May 7th for a program on "Balance" present by Elaine Campbell. This
was followed by a business meeting to discuss plans to assemble the health and school kits. Please check the "Helping
Hands" Bulletin Board for items that are needed. Final plans for the Spring Rummage
and Flea Market sale that will be held May 16 and 17 were also discussed. Set up for the event will be May 14th.
Please bring in you good used clothing or flea market items tohelp support this event. Several
members atteded the NH District UMW spring retreat on May 3rd at the North Charleston UMC. This even was on "Spinning
Yarns from the Bible" and explored the spiritual connections with women of yesterday thru storytelling, biblical fashions
and cloth-making. The next UMW meeting will be Thursday, June 5th with a program on prison ministry.
Mens Bible Study
Study on the apostle Paul has already begun at 8:30 AM on Sundays. The study is led by Greg Rahl
and includes a breakfast. All men are invided to attend.
Women's Bible Study
Please let Cindi Rahl know if you are interested in attending a womens Bible study on Sunday mornings.
Puppet Ministry
Practices have begun on a new program with the puppet ministry. We appreciate all the hard work
the Rahl's do in preparing the ptograms and it sure is nice to see the older kids taking part.
